About Sterile Docking

Afc bags are perfect for sterile docking. All bags are equipped with PVC tubing that can be sterile docked to other PVC tubing. The tubing is the intravenous tubing used in hospitals.  Additional tubing sets are available to meet your individual needs.

Sterile docking may occur in a laminar flow hood by attaching the tubing to the luer fitting on the AFC bag

Another option is to use the Terumo sterile docking device to connect other tubes to the tube of the bag.  This method eliminates the need to make connections in the laminar flow hood.
